When selecting an LED display, consider the intended application (e.g., indoor advertising, outdoor signage, rental services), viewing distance, desired resolution, and environmental conditions. For instance, MILEC offers various series tailored to different needs, such as the Omega Series for rental businesses and the Prime Series for permanent installations.
Pixel pitch refers to the distance between the centers of two adjacent pixels, measured in millimeters. A smaller pixel pitch indicates higher pixel density, resulting in sharper and more detailed images, especially at closer viewing distances. Conversely, larger pixel pitches are suitable for displays intended to be viewed from afar.
Brightness, measured in nits, determines how well an LED display performs under various lighting conditions. Indoor LED displays typically have brightness levels starting at 1,000 nits, while outdoor displays require higher brightness, starting at 4,000-5,000 nits, to ensure visibility in direct sunlight.
Regular maintenance includes cleaning the screen surface to prevent dust accumulation, checking for and replacing any malfunctioning LEDs, and ensuring that the display’s ventilation systems are functioning correctly to prevent overheating.
The optimal screen size and resolution depend on the viewing distance and the type of content to be displayed. For venues where viewers are close to the screen, a higher resolution (smaller pixel pitch) is advisable to ensure image clarity. Conversely, for larger venues where viewers are farther away, a larger screen with a lower resolution may suffice.
